What is our primary function?
We pray for prayer requests that are received from church members and non-members as well. We also open the church phone (prayer) line for 30 minutes on Tuesdays beginning at 7 p.m. and Thursdays beginning at 6 p.m. During this time anyone can call in to request prayer for themselves or on behalf of others.
How does our ministry serve St. Paul?
We are a “praying” ministry. We have prayer request cards situated in the vestibule of the church. These cards can be filled out with a prayer request or requests. These cards may also be filled out anonymously. In addition a request may be made to have a member call and provide a prayer on the phone.
How does our ministry serve the Kingdom?
The Bible, in James 5:16 says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”. We believe by praying that not only are we drawing closer to God but also that God answers the prayers that are sent up to him on behalf of others.
What is expected of those who join this ministry?
Those who join this ministry are expected to receive prayer requests and attend the 9 p.m. Monday night prayer conference calls where we pray for our ministry, our church family, our Pastor and his family and any prayer requests that have been received that week.
What can you expect from this ministry?
To be blessed as well as to be a blessing to others.
When do we meet?
We meet via teleconference Mondays at 9 p.m.
What type of person should consider joining this ministry?
A person who is or who yearns to be a prayer warrior. A person who loves the Lord. A person who has a heart for prayer and who wants to be a blessing to others.
How does this ministry incorporate Bible Study and Prayer?
We pray prior to praying for our weekly prayer requests. All members are encouraged to pray daily for our weekly prayer requests. All members are encouraged to attend Bible Study and or Sunday School.
