Women’s Ministry

Women’s Ministry:  Overview

Mission Statement: The purpose of our Women’s Ministry is to meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of women at St. Paul Baptist Church and women within our community.  This ministry is designed to encourage women to grow in their faith in Christ, to develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women and to provide opportunities to serve and reach our community for Christ.

Women’s Ministry
Missions                                        Comfort and Care                        Arts and Letters

By default if you are a female member of St. Paul, you are a member of the Women’s Ministry.  We meet the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.  Please join us at our meetings as we glorify the Lord!

Arts & Letters

Members will share the love of the Lord through the Arts and bring the Arts to the church body. Members of this Ministry will work to extend opportunities for exposure to the fine arts, literature and the performing arts through:

*Museums
*Plays
*Dance
*Book Club

 Comfort and Care

The members of this Ministry are our “Prayer Warriors” who will focus on their own education about the caring and grief process in order to support our congregants who suffer the loss of a loved one or serious illness themselves.  Counsel and training with Pastor Jackson will be required if you are a member of the Comfort and Care Ministry.

The Ministry:

*Contacts, Visits and Prays with Bereaved/Sick
*Send Cards
*Help wherever possible during these times
*May Recommend Additional Counseling with Pastor *and/or Professional Services

Our ministry serves the Kingdom through faith, love, understanding, forgiveness and kindness … we realize God can do everything but fail.

We provide compassion to families through prayer and listening during illness, death and well-being.  We assist families wherever needed without request to help whenever possible with the family during their journey.  We provide much prayer.

Expectations for those who join this ministry:

*One who’s loyalty is to God
*One who is willing to pray
*Counseling with Pastor Jackson
*One who is compassionate
*One who is understanding
*One who can give a little time for visitation of those in need

This ministry conferences and meets with others during our Women’s Meeting.

Our members are part of the Bible Study Ministry on Tuesday or Wednesday.  Through prayer and learning scripture we are able to focus on those who call upon us for direction and guidance.  We keep the faith and continue to learn.

If you are in need please first contact your Biblical House Leader and then Deaconess Shirley Parks who is the liaison for this Ministry

*Hogar Crea
his organization helps those struggling with substance abuse.

*Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley
This group offers a safe place of refuge for female victims of domestic abuse and their children.
