Missionaries

What is our primary function?
Reach inward to nurture one another through mission study, education, fellowship and prayerOutwardly, we do this through witnessing, evangelizing, helping the needy and less fortunate and seeking liberty and justice for all in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

How does our ministry serve St. Paul?
Missionaries serve St. Paul through alerting the membership of the needs of church and community persons.  Unfortunately, due to the location of St. Paul it is very difficult to successfully promote community feeding programs.  Through much discussion we decided to contribute money to the community organizations as well as home and foreign missions.

What is expected of those who join this ministry?
Persons should be prepared to serve and identify issues and needs of people whether in the church or community.

What can you expect from this ministry?
Missions is the serving arm of the church, whether through hands on or through contributions.  We must be prepared to reach out into the community, to our neighbors with the mission of Christ … compel them to come.

When do we meet?
We meet the 2nd Friday Monthly at the church.  Time: 12 Noon

What type of person should consider joining this ministry?
A person should be committed to Christ and have the desire to serve others, humble individuals, have the knowledge and spirit of Jesus Christ in their heart and be prepared to help all who are in need.

How does this ministry incorporate Bible Study and Prayer?
As members of the National Baptist Convention USA, PA Baptist State Convention and Central Baptist Association we have continued fellowship and study as we associate with these groups.  The Women’s Ministry has a study guide to which we subscribe annually and use in our meetings locally.  These lessons are very effective, each member purchases her own book and one of the members is designated to serve as the leader.
