Rev. St. James Williams 1873 – 1943
Founder of St. Paul Baptist Church
The Rev. St. James Williams came to Bethlehem, Pa., in 1918 from Birmingham, Alabama. He was the husband of Sister Katie Williams. He started a Baptist Fellowship in the Lehigh Valley. Through his fellowship came the beginning of St. Paul Baptist Church which became a realization in July, 1925. Rev. Williams served St. Paul until his death in 1943.
